The Nokia 8600 Luna is a quad band GSM mobile phone with a luminous keypad that glows through a sliding, polished glass cover. The Luna offers a 2 megapixel camera, music player, 16 million colour screen and allows certain control keys to be custom configured by the user.
The camera has a 4x zoom and acts as a video recorder as well as a stills camera. Video is recorded at 15fps in 176 x 144 resolution. The Nokia 8600 Luna comes with built-in video and photo editing software. The music player recognises a range of formats including MP3, MP4 and WMA files. An FM radio and games are included, along with stereo Bluetooth and a flight mode to enable continued game play on board aircraft. The Nokia 8600 has user available memory of c100MB and no card slot.
The Nokia 8600 Luna comes boxed with a handsfree headset, leather polishing cloth and pouch, neck strap, microUSB connection cable and PC Suite software.
