Subject to coverage, the Nokia 7900 can work at up to 3G network speeds, offering web browsing and access to high bandwidth content services (although not video calling). The phone's 2 megapixel camera has an 8x digital zoom plus a flash that can turned on, left off or put on automatic setting. The phone can record video at 15fps in 174 x 144 resolution.

The Nokia Prism 7900 has available user memory of around 920MB. This can be used to store songs for the phone's music player, which has an audio equaliser and flight mode and can play MP3, MP4, WMA and many other file formats.
