A quad band GSM device, the Pearl 8120 smartphone delivers BlackBerry's email and messaging facilities together with a 2 megapixel camera and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi connectivity.

The 8120 achieves its popular dimensions by using trackball-based navigation control along with an enhanced alphanumeric keypad, incorporating a QWERTY-style layout. The keypad is supported by intelligent software for easier typing, whilst traditional multi-tap text input is also supported as an alternative option.

The BackBerry Pearl 8120 offers push email delivery (at both personal and enterprise level) to help users keep fully up to date whilst mobile. Popular formats of office documents and graphics files can be viewed on the phone too. For convenient call management, the Pearl 8120 also has customisable buttons, a mute key, voice activated dialling and speakerphone.
